On second down, Thaddeus Lewis was pressured by Quentin Davie, stepped up in the pocket, and fired long for Johnny Williams, but the pass fell incomplete on a near interception by Sherrick McMannis. Duke converted on third-and-five with an 11-yard strike from Lewis to Eron Riley. Riley, Duke's top receiver, has had a relatively quiet game.
