Men's Tennis: VCU Recap

Northwestern dropped the first of two games this weekend against Virginia Commonwealth University. The Wildcats fell to 5-3 in the 4-1 loss against the Rams. NU lost a close doubles point where two of the matches were decided by a two game margin. For singles, sophomore captain Alex Sanborn was the only one to earn a point for the Cats. Sanborn won his match 6-2, 6-7 (5), 10-4 at No. 3. Marc Dwyer, Alexander Thams and Pete Rispoli all lost their matches at No. 1, No. 2 and No. 4, respectively, which led to NU's loss. The No. 5 and No. 6 matches were not finished when VCU earned its fourth point.
